Minimum Age

The minimum age requirements for admission to these courses at the intermediate pe-ii level are as follows:

  • CA PE - II :

    None
    A person of any age can start pursuing the course
  • CWA ICWA Intermediate :

    ca,icwa,cs,cima,icma,acca,cpa,accounting,profession
    18 years
    A person should have completed 18 years age on the date of making application for registration
  • CS Intermediate :

    17 years
    A person should have completed 17 years age on the date of making application for registration

Entry Routes

A candidate can enter the courses at this level through two different routes.
  1. By passing the Foundation_PE-I examination
  2. By passing a Graduation/Degree (10 + 2 + 3) examination i.e. having a Graduation qualification.

Minimum Academic Qualifications

CA_PE - II

  1. A pass in the foundation examination conducted by ICAI
  2. A pass in the Final examination conducted by:
    1. The ICWAI
    2. The ICSI
  3. Commerce Graduates:
    Should have 50% marks of the total marks with accountancy, auditing and mercantile law or commercial law as full paper.
    Full paper implies a paper carrying not less than 50 marks
  4. Non-Commerce Graduates with mathematics as one of the subjects:
    Should have 60% marks of the total marks
  5. Non-Commerce Graduates without mathematics as one of the subjects:
    Should have 55% marks of the total marks

Courses where marks allotted to the subject of mathematics involving one or more papers in the syllabus is less than 10% of the total marks in the examination will be treated as non - commerce without mathematics as one of the subjects.

For the purpose of calculation of the percentage of marks secured in subjects in which a person is required by the Regulations of the University to obtain only pass marks and for which no special credit is given for higher marks will be ignored.

Any fraction of half or more shall be rounded up to next whole number
⇒ 49. 5% and more up to 50% will be treated as 50%;
   59. 5% and more up to 60% will be treated as 60% and
   54.5% and more up to 55% will be treated as 55%

CWA_ICWA_Inter

  1. A pass in the foundation examination conducted by ICWAI
  2. A pass in any of the degree or higher examination of any recognized university or equivalent course as specified by the ICWAI
  3. A pass in the Final examination conducted by:
    1. The ICAI
    2. The ICSI

CS_Inter

  1. A pass in the foundation examination conducted by ICSI
  2. A Degree or master's degree in Corporate Secretaryship or Commerce.
  3. A degree or master's degree in any discipline other than Fine Arts.
  4. A pass in the Final examination conducted by:
    1. The ICAI
    2. The ICWAI
    3. Any other Accountancy Institution in India or abroad as recognized as equivalent thereto.

Courses Recognised as Equivalent to Graduation (10 + 2 + 3)

By ICAI

By ICWAI

  1. A degree examination of any recognised University or equivalent.
  2. A degree (honour) examination of any recognised University
  3. ca,icwa,cs,cima,icma,acca,cpa,accounting,profession
  4. A Master Degree Examination
    1. of any recognised University (Or)
    2. of any of the Indian Institutes of Management
  5. An Engineering Degree Examination
    1. of any recognised University (Or)
    2. of any of the Indian Institutes of Technology or the Indian Institute of Science.
  6. The Final Examination of
    1. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England and Wales, or Scotland or Ireland (Or)
    2. The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, London (Or)
    3. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
  7. Section 'A' and Section 'B' Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) or equivalent.
  8. Subordinate Accounts Service Examination conducted by the Central/State Government Organisations.
  9. Part I and Part II of Banking Examinations styled C.A.I.I.B
  10. Any other examination as may be recognised by the Council for the purpose of admission as a registered student of the Institute.
