When are the results declared? What information is available? How to get it?

The main examinations are conducted two times (pencil-paper mode) every year (in June and December) generally on specified dates which do not change except under extraordinary circumstances. The results of these examinations are generally scheduled to be declared within one month of the conduct of the examinations.

Qualifying Marks - Pass Marks in each part/section separately!!

An aggregate of 50% in all the papers together i.e. 100 marks out of a total of 200 marks is required to qualify in the examination.

Marks sheet and pass certificate

All the students irrespective of their result, (whether they pass or fail the examination) will receive a marks list indicating the marks obtained in each subject/paper.

Those who have passed the examination, would also receive a pass certificate as a proof of passing the examination. This will be sent by post to the address mentioned in the application for examination.

Marks Sheet Lost - How to Get a duplicate

The student is to provide a request duly signed by him/her for issue of duplicate mark sheet/s along with the following details:
  • Month & Year of appearance and the Roll Number for which duplicate mark sheet is require .
  • A fee of Rs.10/- per duplicate mark sheet should be remitted through Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at New Delhi - 110002.

    Students who have not received his/her marks statement within reasonable time (say 6 weeks of the declaration of result) and sends a request for duplicate mark statement within two months of the declaration of result, are not required to pay any fee

  • Complete postal address for correspondence, telephone number, fax number, etc.

The duplicate mark sheets are issued normally within twenty days of receipt of the request complete in all respects.

E-mails are not entertained for issue of duplicate mark sheet/s.

Re-Examination

The examination in the four subjects being a single exam, a student who fails to get through shall have to re-appear in all the papers.

Exemptions

There is no consideration for any high marks scored in one or more subjects of the examination. There are no exemptions whatsoever.
